Sometimes I find a Chapter 27 post on a message board.

If this film is released it will be the biggest disgrace
to John Lennon's memory ever. MDC killed John Lennon in cold
blood for attention, and if this is released it will give him what he
has wanted for so long. MDC is not a misunderstood person, he is
the with a doubt murderer of one this world's greatest advocates of
peace in the last century, and what did MDC do? He shot Lennon down with the
intent to kill then sat on the curb, read a book, and waited
like nothing happened. I hold no grudge toward Leto or Lohan, but I
cannot believe they would star in this film. Especially when both of
them are musicians themselves. Do we just spit on Lennon's work as a
Beatle and solo artist? Do we turn our back on the man that taught us
to 'Imagine', and glorify the man who slew him? MDC may apologize
all he wants, but I will never forgive him. I was born in the same town
he was born in and I will not forgive him. He can blame the demons
inside him back then all he wants, but I will not forgive him. His goal
in the murder of Johm Lennon was attention, as I previously stated, and
the release of this film will give him that on a scale he even couldn't
have dreamed about on December 8, 1980. It doesn't matter if he has
found religion in his stay at Attica, it was his choice to bring a .38
caliber pistol when he went to get Lennon's autograph (which he was
given), and in return for Lennon's signature MDC put 4 hollow-point
bullets into the former Beatle point blank. What is next? Making a
movie about Nathan Gale, the slayer of Darrel Abbott?
