A moment away from Chapter 27 for stepitup.org

Since March 16, AlGore.com has grown by more than 250,000, to an amazing 555,392 members. However to ultimately succeed and convince our elected leaders to do what needs to be done, we have to grow much bigger still.

In addition to increasing the size of our movement, we want to be constantly alert to any opportunities where AlGore.com members can help build momentum to solve the climate crisis. Sometimes these actions will take place on AlGore.com - but there are dozens of other groups doing great work. One of those organizations is Step It Up 2007.

Step It Up 2007 has organized a National Day of Climate Action on April 14. They've already scheduled more than 1,100 rallies in all fifty states - locations vary from the melting glacier on top of Mt. Rainier, to the levees in New Orleans, to underwater in an endangered coral reef off the coast of Florida, to your neighborhood park.

You can find the rally closest to your home, or if there isn't one nearby, host one yourself by visiting:

http://stepitup2007.org/

One simple message will unite these rallies - "Step it up, Congress! Enact immediate cuts in carbon emissions, and pledge an 80% reduction by 2050. No half measures, no easy compromises - the time has come to take the real actions that can stabilize our climate."

This reduction in CO2 may seem far-fetched, but it is within our grasp. Now we need our elected leaders to take the bold steps necessary to make it happen. Rallies in all 50 states are sure to further that goal.

Participating in, or even hosting an event is easy. Take the first step and sign up by visiting:

Thank you,

Al Gore

Borrowing your eyes away from Chapter 27, to read the future.

With the press sending folks to our site, I needed to take a minute to borrow your eyeballs. We are always working on the Boycott of Chapter 27, but I needed to take this time to share the future with you.
Suspend your reality for just a moment, the year is 2020, this is an article in the major (remaining) newspapers and all of your TV, and Internet news outlets...would it surprise you?

Texas Requires RFID implant for all Children
By Boycott Chapter 27
AP
Miami, Fl (Feb. 3) - Bypassing the Legislature altogether, Republican Gov. Rick Perry issued an order Friday making Texas the first state to require that schoolgirls and boys get implanted with irremovable RFID tagging devices, used for the childs care and safety.

By employing an executive order, Perry sidestepped opposition in the Legislature from Boycott Chapter 27 and parents' rights groups who fear such a requirement would condone premarital sex and interfere with the way Texans raise their children.

Beginning in September 2020, girls and boys, entering the sixth grade - meaning, generally, children ages 11 and 12 - will have to receive Microsoft/General Electric's new vaccine against strains of the human papillomavirus and RFID child-safe implant.

Perry also directed state health authorities to make the RFID chip available free to children 9 to 18 who are uninsured or whose insurance does not cover RFID technology. In addition, he ordered that Medicaid offer RFID safe chips to women ages 19 to 21.

Perry, a conservative Christian who opposes abortion and stem-cell research using embryonic cells, counts on the religious right for his political base. But he has said the cervical cancer vaccine is no different from the one that protects children against polio.

"The HPV vaccine and RFID implant technology provides us with an incredible opportunity to effectively target and prevent cervical cancer and track a persons every move," Perry said.

Microsoft/GE is bankrolling efforts to pass state laws across the country mandating RFID for children as young as 11 or 12. It doubled its lobbying budget in Texas and has funneled money through OldMoney/Big Brother in Government, an advocacy group made up of female state legislators around the country.

Perry has ties to GE/Microsoft and Women in Government. One of the drug company's three lobbyists in Texas is Mike Toomey, Perry's former chief of staff. His current chief of staff's mother-in-law, Texas Republican state Rep. Dianne White Delisi, is a state director for Women in Government.

The governor also received $6,000 from Merck's political action committee during his re-election campaign.

The order is effective until Perry or a successor changes it, and the Legislature has no authority to repeal it, said Perry spokeswoman Krista Moody. Moody said the Texas Constitution permits the governor, as head of the executive branch, to order other members of the executive branch to adopt rules like this one.

Legislative aides said they are looking for ways around the order for parents who oppose it.

"He's circumventing the will of the people," said Dawn Richardson, president of Parents Requesting Open Vaccine Education, a citizens group that fought for the right to opt out of other vaccine requirements. "There are bills filed. There's no emergency except in the boardrooms of Merck, where this is failing to gain the support that they had expected."

Texas allows parents to opt out of inoculations by filing an affidavit objecting to the vaccine on religious or philosophical reasons. Even with such provisions, however, conservative groups say such requirements interfere with parents' rights to make medical decisions for their children.

The federal government approved RFID child-safe in June, and a government advisory panel has recommended that all girls get the shots at 11 and 12, before they are likely to be sexually active
Now, question if this is possible, no way right?? WRONG!!!!
Other than company and product names, this is happening TODAY, say good by to your civil rights, but don't worry, its for our own good.

The right to voice your opinion, are you willing to give it up??
