Good News & Bad News Regarding The Search For The Distribution of Chapter 27.

Good Evening All

I have something to share regarding the desperate search by Peach Arch to find a distributor for Chapter 27 and it's progress in doing so.

First,I want to say a very heartfelt Thanks to Howard for yesterday's posting regarding yet another IMDB user's feelings regarding the making and overall idea of the movie Chapter 27.It just shows that we are not alone in our fight to ensure that Chapter 27 does not see a US release. It also shows that the power of the people works in more ways than one.Right now,I can hear John Lennon's Power To The People playing in my head. Thanks again Howard.

Okay, regarding the desperate mission by Peace Arch to find a distributor for their worthless excuse of a movie that only gives Lennon's murderer more of the fame and notoriety that he wants,I have got good news and bad news.

First the Good News:

Chapter 27 still has not been picked up by an American film distributor and it looks like that it still may not even aquire one.

Now the Bad News:

Chapter 27 has been picked up for distribution in the following areas: Asia, Europe & South America.

Apparently, whoever these distributors in these areas are, they are only picking it up because they probably feel that there is money to be made off of this.A movie that not only gives a man who murdered one of the greatest men who ever lived more fame and notoriety as well to ensure that he stays in our conciousness, but also dishonors the memory of the aforementioned great man who is still loved and remembered by those who love him throughout the world.Of course,we all know that THE in question great man is John Lennon. This film is an insult to Lennon's memory, legacy and his name.It also gives Lennon's murderer more of the fame and notoriety that he selfishly desires, which he truly does not deserve. It's bad enough he did it and is now famous. But giving him more of what he wants by this movie is simply not kosher. It's time to say "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!"

Though Europe has picked it up for distribution,Germany is the only country in Europe where it will not be shown.None of the German theatres will have this movie in their theatres. After the premiere at the Berlin Film Festival,NO German distributor was interested. But somehow,a European distributor, whose name is not being revealed, picked this up and it may be shown in other European countries outside of Germany.Again,it was also picked up for distribution in Asia and South America whose names have also not been revealed. My theory on this is that all those distributors in those territories know what happened in the USA when the film premiered at Sundance and the reason why they are trying to keep private is because they are afraid that the same thing could happen in those areas as well.

As previously reported on this site,Germany happens to be a very important part of Beatles history. It was in Germany within the city of Hamburg that our lads,The Beatles, got their first taste of professionalism. They performed at clubs in the Reeperbaun district of Hamburg and it's where they backed up Tony Sheridan on the My Bonnie single, which became a big hit in Germany and later a modest seller in The Beatles home country. While My Bonnie was not an international smash,it did pave the way for the Fab Four to later take over the world and become "The Greatest Rock & Roll Band Of All Time!"After My Bonnie, the rest was history and what a history it is.

I just wanted to pass this news along. Thanks again to Howard for all of what he has shared. It is truly appreciated.

I deleted the above comment. It was very inappropriate and disgusting.Lennon did not suck nor did his music nor what he stood for.It also made Lennon's murder look like a good thing to the world and actually approved of Lennon's murderers actions.

I think that we should start moderating comments before they make it to the boards. That way,we can reject innapropriate comments.

I have to respectfully disagree, honestly, I have no problem if someone did not appreciate the genius in Johns music. Or cares for his politics (of which I am a huge supporter, the point is not granting a killer his wishes. An animal who took the life of a husband, a father, and a great man.
