Chapter 27 making the killer "adored" by Lohan character

Chapter 27 makes a mockery of Johns death, as well as the request of his widow Yoko Ono and his band mate and friend Paul McCartney.

This clip is an example of how this film will humanize Johns killer and make his release from prison possible in the future.

Breaking News and mixed emotions as "free" copies of Chapter 27 available online

Stealing is wrong...no question about it
Attempting to profit from John Lennons murder is wrong

Well, let me just say that we generally believe that "file sharing" or "stealing content" is wrong, and we personally have absolutely no interest in seeing this film, as the very idea sickens us. But, if your are compelled to see this movie for any reason at all, it has been brought to our attention, that the entire film is available through various peer2peer websites, including LimeWire.
We will not give direct links, as we still believe the best move is to completely avoid this film and the people involved with it. (Chapter 27 is produced by Peace Arch Entertainment and stars Lindsey Lohan and Jared Leto), but if you were to google "Chapter.27.2007.DVDRiP.XViD-DvF-23-03-07-pass" (a torrent? what is that anyway?) or something along those lines, you might find this movie for FREE. At the very least you will not be rewarding Peace Arch Entertainment with the blood money they desire. As well as spreading the word of just what a piece of crap Chapter 27 is, as to have people avoid it at BlockBuster if it ever gets released on DVD. Oh, I heard if you search "Chapter 27" on LimeWire and find a 700mb file, it may save you from wasting $10 in the future. This is more than a trailer for Chapter 27, from what we've been told.
You might try Tomato Torrent, you can find the software if you google it, than google Chapter 27 boycott and sign our petition.

PEACE

We hope you choose not to see this film, but if you must, not reward these dirtbags.

Chapter 27 - Peace Arch - Negative earnings, negative profit margin, negative operating margin

Good investment article on the Entertainment industry, love the analysis of Peace Arch Entertainment (the producers of Chapter 27 - The John Lennon MURDER film)

The entertainment business has always been considered recession proof. During the hot summers, families would prefer to pay for movie tickets and sit in an air conditioned theater, than to run the air conditioner at home.

Teenagers will always be able to scrape together enough money for movie dates. Many thought that pay-per-view and video-on-demand would replace movie theaters, but they didn’t. Not even the internet has replaced theaters. Smash hit movies have continued to bring in hundreds of millions of dollars. This review is focusing on more of the pure plays in movie theaters and motion picture production.

The large entertainment companies, such as Disney (DIS), have been left out [but will be covered in a future article] because they are involved in many other areas besides movie production. Many of these stocks may be box office flops, but hopefully you can find a blockbuster.

Regal Entertainment Group (RGC): The company, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange, owns Regal Cinemas, United Artists Theaters, and Edwards Theaters, which includes over 6400 screens throughout the United States. The yield of 5.8% is nice and the return on equity is an extremely high 2241%, but be careful. Quarterly earnings and quarterly revenues have been in a downtrend. Because of the company’s huge amount of debt, the stock has a negative book value. The dividend payout is twice the amount of earnings.

DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc. (DWA): This company, of Shrek fame, is the largest independent developer of animated feature length films, of which it's produced over a dozen. The company was founded in 1994 by Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen. Their blockbuster Shrek won the first-ever Academy Award® for Best Animated Feature Film and Shrek 2 was the highest-grossing animated film of all time. The P/E ratio is very high at 195, and so is the P/S at 7.5. Quarterly revenue growth was up over 18%.

Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. (LGF): This Santa Monica, California based company, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange, produces its own motion pictures and also purchases motion pictures from outside production companies. It is also involved in television programming. Although the P/E is a little high at 30, the return on equity is 26%, and the year over year quarterly earnings growth was 551%.

Carmike Cinemas Inc. (CKEC): This company operates almost 2500 screens throughout the U.S., with penetration in the rural and smaller city markets. Pays a dividend yield of 3.1%, however, the earnings are negative. The P/S is a very favorable .58.

Genius Products, Inc. (GNPI.OB): Another Santa Monica based company, it produces, licenses, and distributes motion pictures and television programs on DVDs. P/E is a very low 4.95, P/S is 1.3. Quarterly revenue growth is 113%.

Image Entertainment Inc. (DISK): The company produces and purchases movies, television shows and other entertainment content for distribution on DVD. Negative earnings, reasonable P/S of .66, quarterly revenues have been dropping.

Peace Arch Entertainment Group Inc. (PAE): This Canadian based company, which trades on the American Stock Exchange, purchases and acquires medium and low budget films which it distributes worldwide. Negative earnings, negative profit margin, negative operating margin.
(WOW - The boys involved in Chapter 27 look great in this one...LOL)
Lohan and Leto signed on with a real winner here!!!

Please read, visit link, and sign. Way beyond Chapter 27!!!!

This is far more important than Chapter 27!!! This is about our FUTURE!!!

We are now within striking distance of collecting over 500,000 messages to deliver to Congress and have less than 48 hours to get it done in time for the hearings.

Ask any friend who wants to end the climate crisis to sign our message to Congress now by visiting:

http://algore.com/cards.html
When I emailed you last Friday, 294,374 people had signed our message to Congress demanding immediate action to solve the climate crisis. In that email, I asked you to help meet the goal of delivering 350,000 messages when I testify at Congressional hearings on Wednesday.

Your response was amazing. By Saturday morning - because of you - we exceeded our goal! In fact, as I write this email, our total has risen to 405,758. Thank you!

What that means is that we are now within striking distance of collecting over 500,000 messages - and have less than 48 hours to get it done in time for the Congressional hearings.

Now is the time to reach out to as many people as possible. Ask any friend who wants to end the climate crisis to sign our message to Congress now by visiting:

http://www.algore.com/cards.html

By the way, maybe this goes without saying, but please reach out to Republican and Independent, as well as Democratic friends. One of our goals must be to make this issue one that transcends partisanship. While many of the solutions to the climate crisis will be found within the political system, there should be bipartisan and transpartisan agreement on the basic nature of the crisis and the sense of urgency that is appropriate for us to solve it.

That point was brought home to me again last week when I visited London and met with the leaders of the Labour Party and the Conservative Party. In the UK, both major political parties are completely committed to taking real action to solve the climate crisis. They openly acknowledge this is an unprecedented moral issue and are competing vigorously to see who can propose the most creative and effective solutions to solve this crisis.

Here at home, our objective must be to create a similar sense of urgency in both political parties. That is why your activism leading up to these hearings is so important. We are so close to our new goal of 500,000 messages to Congress. You can help put us over the top.

So please reach out to everyone you know and ask them to sign our message to Congress today - or at least within the next 48 hours by visiting:

http://www.algore.com/cards.html

Thank you,

Al Gore

P.S. On Wednesday both the House and Senate will webcast the hearings live.

My testimony in the House of Representatives begins at 9:30 AM and you can watch the webcast by visiting:

My testimony in the Senate begins at 2:30 PM and you can watch the webcast by visiting:

Why boycott Chapter 27, other movies glorify death.

This is a well thought out post from IMDB. Wanted to put it out here, as it sums up most of our feelings as to why Chapter 27 is such a bad idea:

His family DIDN'T want this movie to be made. Sean Lennon has come forth saying he's lost respect for and is angry at Lohan, who has (had?) been his friend for doing it, and has labeled the film as "tacky". I'd put more weight in that, as someone who'd lost his father before his 6th birthday should be respected.

As for the list of movies you provide, they do not show the 'murderer's perspective' as the main focus. 'Bobby' is a terrible example to be used in comparison, seeing as how it glorified Bobby, not Sirhan B. Sirhan. The person playing Sirhan was onscreen for less than ten seconds showing his entrance into the hotel, then for about ten more when they showed the assassination. 'Pearl Harbor', though it was an absolute stinker of a film, showed the American soldier's perspective, and the reaction and tragedy of the events. As for the 9/11 movie, I thought it was terrible to do, especially since you KNEW it was for cash. The smoke from Ground Zero had been barely snuffed out by the time they made it. THAT was disgusting, and I never plan on seeing it.

Chapter 27, from every single review I've heard of it through the words of people who'd watched it's premiere at Sundance all say the same thing; it's crap. The performances are good they've said, but the movie as a whole does nothing. To connect a great man to a movie using JUST his killer as the main focus is wrong to me.

My own comparison, to you, is this: what if someone extremely close to you-- your mother, husband, wife, etc.-- was murdered by a serial killer, and despite your protests to "never speak the murderer's name" (as Yoko, McCartney and those close to John had requested) and your not wanting the film to be made of your mother's death, they went and did it anyways? And not just that, but they decided to set up filming *in front of your home* to film it? Absolute disrespect.

Respect the wishes of John's family. They did NOT want this movie to be made.

"You're being an idiot; don't do that," -Elijah Wood to Sean Astin

Chapter 27...its all but over!!!

Well, looks like it's NO DEAL for Peace Arch Entertainment and Chapter 27.
Why have we slowed down the pace of our posts and our publicity push???

Whats to say...This film is all but dead, no US distributor will touch this immoral piece of crap. Lohan, Leto, and the rest of the willing participants have all had major personal and business setbacks, it would appear this film is DEAD in the water. We will continue to follow-up, when called for. But until we hear different we will assume VICTORY!!!!
Thanks for your support and PEACE!!!!

On another note, took the kids to Universal in Orlando, we were having a blast...than we noticed a few pigeons who looked like they were "mangled", missing legs, limping, and all around looking pretty beat up. We looked up and noticed this.......

(SEE THE SPIKES ON THE kid friendly "Sponge Bob" monitor and the beams above, this is throughout the family friendly park....OUCH!!!!)

Please keep in mind, we are not Vegans or overboard PETA freaks, but this was sooo wrong. Wanted to use this forum to bring this some attention.
Just felt wrong, that such a fun place would go to this extreme to avoid a little bird crap.

PEACE.....

E online! generates huge traffic for Boycott Chapter 27

Signatures on our petition skyrocketed yesterday as E online! put a link and a great mention on there website. A terrific article regarding Yokos' feelings about Chapter 27 and our effort to boycott this film by Peace Arch Entertainment:

Ono also took issue with the latest work of fiction concerning her husband, but the way things are going she may not have to have to worry about American audiences getting too familiar with it.
Chapter 27, starring Jared Leto as Lennon's killer, Mark David Chapman, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival but has not yet found a U.S. distributor, although it is headed for European, Asian and South American theaters.
Of course, it's not its depiction of Lennon that has Ono concerned.
''This is another thing which will hurt me, I'm sure," she told the Australian newspaper last summer. "I would rather not make a story out of Mr. Chapman at all, although I sympathize with the actors. They need to work. It's not just films, you're always talking about it [Lennon's murder].
"Every day, every week, is an anniversary for me. There is not one time that John is not around me, or my memory of John is not there. It has been 25 years, but it has passed so fast.''
At press time, 2,550 people have signed an online petition opposing Chapter 27.
"What is the name of the person who killed John Lennon? Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono made a simple request to John Lennon's fans. Never repeat the name of his killer. Doing so would only give his killer the fame and notoriety he was seeking," reads a statement on the petition Website.
"When John and I were doing things, a lot of people just didn't think about it," Ono told Entertainment Weekly last month. "Maybe we planted a seed; there are so many people, each doing it in his own way."
On the thousands of people ready to boycott Chapter 27: "It's very sweet of them. John would have thought so, too." --Thanks Yoko

More Chapter 27 bad Karma...the list grows

Hows this for bad KARMA!!!! Wow, making Chapter 27 just keeps getting worse and worse for anyone and everyone involved.

Jared Leto, the actor-musician known for his pretty face, has had a setback.

The "Chapter 27" star broke his nose while perfoming with his band, 30 Seconds to Mars, in El Paso, Texas on Thursday, March 1, reports People.

The accident occurred when he ran into the crowd and was rushed by adoring fans.

"I've been producing shows for 25 years and this was one of the scariest moments I have witnessed," tour organizer Kevin Lyman said of the melee in a statement. "We hope Jared's injuries are all minor and that he has a speedy recovery."

Regardless, Leto finished the show, but then checked into the hospital to see if he needed any treatment. Besides the broken nose, he also hurt his food and suffered minor injuries to his face and body.

The performance was part of the Taste of Chaos tour.

Leto, 35, first made a name for himself as the disaffected Jordan Catalano on ABC's "My So-Called Life." From there, he moved to films, and his resume includes "Prefontaine," "The Thin Red Line," "Fight Club," "Girl, Interrupted," "Requiem for a Dream," "Panic Room" and "Alexander." "Chapter 27," in which Leto plays John Lennon killer Mark David Chapman, made its premiere at January's Sundance Film Festival.

Has Peace Arch given up on Chapter 27?

After reading this article and the comments made by John Flock, it appears to me that Chapter 27 has been pushed aside by Peace Arch. Realizing that getting a US distribution deal for Chapter 27 is not going to happen, they are focusing all of the companies efforts on Delirious. This is a huge victory for all of the supporters of the Chapter 27 boycott.

Peace Arch Entertainment's Feature Film Receives Best Director Prize at Influential HBO Comedy Festival

Award for "Delirious" Follows Critical Acclaim at Prestigious Sundance and Top Prize at San Sebastian Film Festivals, Providing Springboard for Global Acquisitions

TORONTO-- Peace Arch Entertainment Group Inc. (AMEX:PAE) (Toronto:PAE.TO) announced today that Tom DiCillo, director of its award-winning comedy "Delirious," won the Best Director Award for a feature film at the highly influential HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado. "Delirious" screened three times to sold-out theaters attended by entertainment industry executives at the 13th annual festival, regarded by many as the leading comedy film festival in the United States.

"Delirious" was accepted by the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival along with only nine other US feature film comedies. The film's screening followed closely on the heels of its critical acclaim during the North American premiere at this year's prestigious Sundance Film Festival. It also won multiple awards and outstanding reviews at the film's world premiere at Spain's San Sebastian Film Festival, including the prestigious SIGNIS award.

"The continued critical success and industry endorsement of 'Delirious' is an essential step in positioning this film with distributors in the US and internationally," said John Flock, President of Peace Arch Entertainment. "As our leading motion picture, 'Delirious' is a defining example of our company's commitment to being a supplier of high quality, entertaining film and television programming in the worldwide market."

"Delirious" stars Independent Spirit Award winner and Golden Globe® Award and Emmy® Award nominee Steve Buscemi ("Fargo," "Big Fish," "The Big Lebowski"), Young Hollywood Award and Hollywood Film Festival Best Actress Award winner Alison Lohman ("Matchstick Men," "Where The Truth Lies"), Michael Pitt ("Silk," "Last Days"), MTV Movie Award nominee Gina Gershon ("Bound," "Man About Town") and world renowned musician Elvis Costello playing himself. The film was produced by Independent Spirit Award winner Bob Salerno ("21 Grams," "All The Pretty Horses," "Chapter 27").

"Delirious" is among the more than 20 feature film, television and DVD productions that Peace Arch Entertainment produced or acquired over the past 12 months, including the romantic comedy "Watching The Detectives" starring Golden Globe® Award-nominated Cillian Murphy ("Breakfast on Pluto") and two-time Screen Actors Guild® Award-winning Lucy Liu ("Charlie's Angels" 1 & 2); the psychological drama "Guantanamero" starring Rupert Evans ("Hellboy") and Screen Actors Guild Award-winning Sir Derek Jacobi ("Gladiator"); and the ten-hour event television series "The Tudors" starring Golden Globe Award-winning Jonathan Rhys Meyers ("Match Point"), Henry Czerny ("Mission Impossible") and Golden Globe Award-nominated Sam Neill ("Jurassic Park").

Jarret Schaefer attempts to defend Chapter 27.

Watch as Jaret Schaefer attempts to defend profiting off of the murder of John Lennon.
Does he believe his own B.S., you would think he's saving humanity by making Chapter 27.
Too bad for Jarrett and Peace Arch Entertainment, this film will never be distributed in theaters.

You will never have
another film made
after CHAPTER 27
