Thoughts on Jared Leto and Chapter 27
This letter is not a debate contest in which I convince you to agree with me or vice versa. This letter is concerned only with establishing the truth about Mr. Jared Leto. What follows is a call to action for those of us who care -- a large enough number to do what comes naturally.
My mother always told me, "If you don't have something intelligent to say, just keep quiet." Apparently, Mr. Leto's mother never told him that. I was, however, going to forget about the whole thing when it suddenly occurred to me that all the deals Mr. Leto makes are strictly one-way. Mr. Leto gets all the rights, and the other party gets all the obligations. He has a knack for convincing snarky scallawags that children should belong to the state. That's called marketing. The underlying trick is to use sesquipedalian terms like "anthropomorphologically" and "transubstantiationalist" to keep his sales pitch from sounding craven. That's why you really have to look hard to see that when Mr. Leto says that honor counts for nothing, that's just a load of spucatum tauri.
I find that I am embarrassed. Embarrassed that some people just don't realize that Mr. Leto has been trying to convince us that we ought to worship the worst types of possession-obsessed, ornery humanity-haters there are as folk heroes. This pathetic attempt to trample over the very freedoms and rights that he claims to support deserves no comment other than to say that Mr. Leto might shred the basic compact between the people and their government when you least expect it. What are we to do then? Place blinders over our eyes and hope we don't see the horrible outcome? I have seen and heard enough. Now, it is time to seek liberty, equality, and fraternity. Yes, Mr. Leto may be nothing more than a disposable tool of power-wielding, illiberal sandbaggers, but if we take his taradiddles to their logical conclusion, we see that in the immediate years ahead, he will doctor evidence and classification systems and make grungy generalizations to support yawping, preconceived views. Irreligionism is a crime, an outrage, and a delusion. However true that is, anyone who has spent much time wading through the pious, obscurantist, jargon-filled cant that now passes for "advanced" thought in the humanities already knows that this is a stark reality that no impartial analyst can choose to ignore. What may be news, however, is that Mr. Leto refers to a variety of things using the word "phenolsulphonephthalein". Translating this bit of jargon into English isn't easy. Basically, he's saying that advertising is the most veridical form of human communication, which we all know is patently absurd. At any rate, he keeps trying to dump effluent into creeks, lakes, streams, and rivers. And if we don't remain eternally vigilant, he will doubtlessly succeed. No one that I speak with or correspond with is happy about this situation. Of course, I don't speak or correspond with disingenuous, unrealistic flag burners, Mr. Leto's allies, or anyone else who fails to realize that I and Mr. Leto part company when it comes to the issue of radicalism. He feels that without his superior guidance, we will go nowhere, while I maintain that if you've never seen him inflict untold misery, suffering, and distress, you're either incredibly unobservant or are concealing the truth from yourself.
I'm not very conversant with Mr. Leto's background. To be quite frank, I don't care to be. I already know enough to state with confidence that if we are powerless to address the continued social injustice shown by lewd insurrectionists, it is because we have allowed Mr. Leto to lead me down a path of pain and suffering. If he thinks his prognoses represent progress, Mr. Leto should rethink his definition of progress. Daily, the truth is being impressed upon us that there are some purblind present-day robber barons who are clumsy. There are also some who are covinous. Which category does Mr. Leto fall into? If the question overwhelms you, I suggest you check "both". Some people are responsible and others are not. Mr. Leto falls into the category of "not".
Well, sure; this is neither a document written in anger nor something I am being paid to write, but that doesn't change reality. Mr. Leto twists every argument into some sort of "struggle" between two parties. Mr. Leto unvaryingly constitutes the underdog party, which is what he claims gives him the right to show us a gross miscarriage of common judgment. While his asseverations may seem testy, they're in agreement with his slovenly, hotheaded bruta fulmina. Mr. Jared Leto's insults are mired in hypersensitive sexism. So I give you this letter. I hope it helps.

... what the hell?
I mean, I understand that you people have by association decided he's The Devil, but this is bit much.
"if we are powerless to address the continued social injustice shown by lewd insurrectionists, it is because we have allowed Mr. Leto to lead me down a path of pain and suffering"
Let me make this clear. HE'S JUST A CELEBRITY. He acts, he sings, THAT'S IT.
I don't even understand what you're raving on about half the time - "all the deals Mr. Leto makes are strictly one-way. Mr. Leto gets all the rights, and the other party gets all the obligations. He has a knack for convincing snarky scallawags that children should belong to the state" - but you're out of it. So far fucking gone.
You people just frustrate the hell out of me, I swear to God. Get some perspective on your world. There are bigger evils than an actor and a fucking movie.
This is easily the most pathetic thing I have ever read. This whole site is pathetic. I was for this site before, but this is just ridiculous. I have seen the movie, out of curiousity, and it was a pretty good movie. There are far more things to be concerned about in the world than a movie and celebrities. Why are you even wasting your time and effort to boycott a movie? Why is it not right for us to see this movie? We have movies out about 911, which I'm sorry, but 911 was far more important than John Lennon ever was. If we can watch movies about 911, we can watch a movie about John Lennon's killer. Go find something really useful to do and that will better the world then to boycott a pretty good film.
A Little Word To STFU
Once again,as others before you,you are comparing movies like United 93 and World Trade Center to Chapter 27.
There is no reason nor excuse to compare those movies with Chapter 27.United 93 and World Trade Center honored those who unselfishly risked and even gave their lives to save the lifes of others on that fateful day in history 09/11/01.Those movies do not pay any honor to the terrorists who were responsible for the destruction of the World Trade Center twin towers and the destruction of the Pentagon alongside the crash in rural PA.It honors those who gave of themselves to ensure the safety of other people and that their lives were very important. It does not honor nor pay tribute to the evil ones responsible.
On the other hand,Chapter 27 glorifies the man who murdered John Lennon and makes him more famous. It gives him more fame, notoriety, and keeps him in the public consciousness. He does not deserve any more than what he has.He murdered "One Of The Greatest Men Who Ever Lived" and a man who was loved and respected the whole world over whose death still brings tears to the eyes of those who loved and respected him.Chapter 27 glorifies THAT MAN and makes him stay in the consciousness of the public.
I also have one more thing to say to you STFU:,
YOU ARE A TRAITOR!A BIG DIRTY TRAITOR!
How could you say that you were for us and then go see Chapter 27 anyway? This just means that you were never for us to begin with. You were actually waiting to see that "worthles excuse of a movie" about the man who murdered John Lennon all along, haven't you?You just admitted it.You are a hypocrate in the worst sense. How could you say that you were on our side and then go see that movie? How could you do such a thing to John Lennon?
Thought so!
STFU,Instant Karma's gonna get you when you least expect it.Watch Out!You won't realize that Instant Karma is there until it bites you in the face when you least expect it.
When it does indeed get you, don't say we did not warn you.
How does that grab you?
Get a life, its just a movie, hell it's a independent film. Not like it's going to be in theaders. Jared Leto is just doing his job. He is an ACTOR. Why don't you find a hobby insted of waisting your time on something as dumb as a movie. Honestly. How old are you six?
HI, HELLO!
IM FROM MEXICO CITY AND I HAVE TO ADMIT I WASN'T A BEATTLES FAN OR JOHN LENNON'S FAN BUT I RESPECT THEM AND IT'S RIGHT THAT PEOPLE MUST REMEMBER JOHN AND NOT THE IDIOT WHO KILLED HIM. BUT I THINK IT'S A LITTLE BIT UNRESPECTFUL NOT TO PREMIER THIS MOVIE BEACUSE ALL THE ACTORS WORKED HARD FOR THIS.
I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT EVEN THOUGH HITLER MAS A MEAN SON OF A BITCH HE IS REMEMBER IN PRESENT DAYS AS A BAD PERSON BUT ITS TRUE JEWS WANTED THE FUTURE GENERATIOS (US) TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM SO WE MUST SEE THIS MOVIE BEACUSE MAYBE WE'LL END UP HATING JARED LETO'S CHARACTER BUT WE'LL SE THE TRUTH.
PLEASE PREMIERE THIS MOVIE OR REALESE IT ON DVD .. AND NOW!!
I REALLY WANT TO SEE IT!!!
I LOVE LINDSAAAy!! (EVEN THOUGH SHE'S CRAZY LATELY)
THEY'RE JUST DOING THEIR JOB NOT TRYING TO INSULT ANYONEE!!
this has to be the stupidest thing ive ever read, Jared Leto is an AMAZING actor and an amazing person he choses his roles wisely and looks for the darker side of a character, i think that you really need to get your facts straight and do your research before you say something stupid. as for the boycotting of the movie - thats even worse. this movie isnt about humanizing Mark David Chapman, its showing the failure of humanity (as Jared always says). so dont criticize the movie just because it puts Mark David Chapman in the spotlight, he was a human too, a sick, disgusting, twisted human, but still a human. so grow up and let the movie be seen!
you need to get a life mate! yoko ono wouldn't have been anywhere without john lennon.for years she has traded on his name,my dad used to work for the beatles and believe me this woman aint no angel.one day the truth will come out,and boy will you get a surprise! has to the film it's a story that was always going to be told, and it's done well.so stop the ranting and learn to be open minded.and don't fall for the yoko shit.she's making millions of dollars out of the fans.
okay "karma" doesn't go after people just because they went to see a movie, let's not be 4 years old.
chapter 27 does not glorify chapman.
jared leto even said himself that it's not a sympathetic movie about it. he said it's a movie about the failure of humanity.
maybe if you'd watch the movie then you'd see that.
all the movie is doing is telling the story.
jared's an amazing actor and doesn't deserve this dumbass shit written about him by over obsessed people that can't get over shit.
