The long-delayed John Lennon assassination movie, Chapter 27, featuring former hook-up partners Jared Leto and Lindsay Lohan is finally hitting US theaters on March 28th. Um, on limited screens.
The movie premiered at Sundance LAST January. It then went on to play on Russian TV and then straight to DVD in Finland and Greece.
Is there something wrong with it? Don't things usually come out on the big screen in the US before hitting TV and DVD internationally?
We smell a disaster!!!!

this is a story that should be told,even as a peice music history.
macca is probably just pissed he doesn't stand to make any money from it after getting fleeced by a one legged porn star.
I do slightly feel for yoko(well as much as i can) because it's a film about her husbands murder, but she doesn't have too watch it.
I honestly think that when this planet does get fucked, all that'll be left is McCartney and cockroaches. fud, utter fud.
I'm so tired of all this P.C. bullshit. How fragile are you that you can't handle a movie coming out that reflects a part of history. I watched the preview at chapter27themovie website and I don't see anyone making Chapman out to be a hero. You really need a hobby.
This is all just a damned tempest in a teapot! The movie is made, McCartney should butt out and worry about his own life - and that demon he just divorced! - and let people make their own decisions.
Funny how he's suddenly joined forces with Yoko Ono on THIS, when he hated her for years.

CHRISTMAS 2006 YOKO ONO ON HAD AN ART EXHIBIT IN MINNEAPOLIS AT THE CHAMBERS HOTEL. THE EXHIBIT HAD ORIGINAL DRAWINGS AND PRINTS OF HIS ART WORK SOME OF WHICH WERE FOR SALE. AS I WALKED THROUGH THE EXHIBIT I FELT PRIVILEGED TO BE SO CLOSE TO JOHN'S ART WORK, IT ALMOST BROUGHT ME TO TEARS. AS I REACHED THE END OF THE EXHIBIT THERE WERE TABLES WITH BRACELETS, NECKLACES, RINGS,TEE SHIRTS ETC... WITH SAYINGS LIKE "GIVE PEACE A CHANCE". THAT'S I WHEN I REALIZED THAT JOHN'S MEMORIES AND BELIEFS WERE BEING SOLD DOWN THE RIVER FOR MONEY!!!! FOR YOKO TO ASK PEOPLE TO BOYCOTT THIS MOVIE IS INSANE!!!
SHE NEEDS TO LOOK TO HER INNER SELF AND DEAL WITH SELLING JOHN'S PRINCIPALS FOR CAPITALISTIC PURPOSES. THAT NIGHT JOHN'S SON WAS IN CONCERT IN MINNEAPOLIS AND DID NOT ATTEND THE EXHIBIT, NOW WE KNOW WHY. THIS MOVIE IS HISTORY. IN THE USA WE HAVE FREEDOM TO SEE AND DO WHAT WE WANT. i don't see this as wrong. I don't think that this will put Chapman in the spotlight, in fact i think that it will bring the event into focus. I have to agree, it was a horrible disgusting event but at the same time it did happen and we can't deny that. there is no way that people will glories Chapman at all. You guys just need to get over yourselves.
