IMDB Chapter 27 message board heating up
Fox Searchlight and all the major distributors have refused. A major producer, Don Murphy, is spearheading an internal boycott in Hollywood to make sure the film stays unreleased. It is a bad film, but even if it were not, the film is morally wrong. A talented icon was MURDERED incold blood because this ass wanted to be famous. A son grew up without his dad. A wife had no husband. The world had no dreamer. Because this rat wanted fame. And now this director dripping from hell comes along and gives it to him. It is sad an pathetic. But it will not stand.

Thats interesting because i heard The Weinstein Company was interested in purchasing the films USA distribution rights. The film already has a UK distributer with Momentum Pictures

Folks, just so that you know, the IMDb member VegasPlayerJim IS overweight Hollywood producer Don Murphy. I don't know the reason why he doesn't want the film to be released but I guarantee you that it is for strictly business reasons, he was probably involved with the project and got deservedly shat on. Murphy doesn't give a damn about the subject matter so ignore the reasons he states here in this thread.
Our take: Don Murphy is the man....Chapter 27 will be a HUGE money loser for Peace Arch and all involved.

This is good news.I hope that the film never gets released in theatres in the USA.Chapman does not deserve any more notoriety or fame.He already received too much of that when he murdered Lennon.He does not need anymore.
Long live the memory and legacy of John Winston Ono Lennon.May his legend live forever.We still love and miss him to this day.
Even if the Weinstein's do indeed pick it up,which I hope is just a rumor and not true,I hope that this movie BOMBS.Yes I do.That way,Lennon's murderer hopefully stays out of our conciousness and we can declare victory.Again,let's continue to hope that this film does not get a distributor and gets released in theatres in the US.If it does,let's hope the movie BOMBS.
